It is just heartbreaking to imagine parents who have just lost a baby, in the hospital or at home, spending their final moments with their precious child picking through bins of donated clothing or even having to shop for something in which the baby can be buried.
"It struck me as incredibly wrong that that was what they were having to do in the darkest hours of their lives." - Lisa Grubbs, founder of NICU Helping Hands
I have been inspired by Lisa's initiative and unique work to provide local families with gowns for their babies. These gowns are made from donated wedding gowns and other gently used formal attire, and are delivered to each family with a special gift and a prayer for healing.
